True Light Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, MS
Reverend Marcus Cheeks contacted Pearl River Glass Studio about a special project for True Light Missionary Baptist Church. A few years ago, we prepared stained glass windows using kiln formed fused glass for all the windows in the sanctuary and education rooms. Reverend Cheek had the idea of adding a lighted cross to the baptistery area. We met at the church to discuss the idea of what to do. The existing plywood planter box with plastic fern greenery had to go. I designed a traditional Romanesque arch with columns more in keeping with traditional Baptist church design.
