Pearl River Glass Studio | The First Forty Years

Working title for book project beginning in 2015.  We’re excited about documenting prgs’s history with the development of this book.

Also making plans for a publication called “A Model for Making Creativity Work” – an educational book designed to assist artists in business.

    PRGS has an amazing history thanks to the talents of so many amazing artists who have come and gone - and some who came again. It's going to be fun telling our story that spans four decades.

    As we all know, some pretty successful businesses started in a garage. In 1976 Steve Jobs wan't the only creative entrepreneur behind a garage door. After returning home from college at LSU, Andrew Cary Young rented a one car garage behind an antique store in downtown Jackson.

    A master at his craft, Andrew Cary Young has been at the helm of PRGS and continued to keep his studio on the forefront of innovative glass art. He has mentored countless artists in his creativity hub in Jackson's midtown arts neighborhood.
