New Kiln Formed Glass Architectural Art Glass
This project involved the design and installation of several art glass elements, including suspended and wall-mounted kiln-formed glass panels, leaded stained glass windows, and hanging light pendants. The client-approved design featured a cohesive glass technique across different areas, including the Aqua Room, Hallway, and Receptionist Area. The process included kiln-forming, water jet cutting, delivery, and final installation.

Kiln Formed Glass Four Suspended Panels
The installation was placed immediately to the right of the four commercial storefront window frame openings, following a similar process as the kiln-formed glass installation at the Columbus facility. The team coordinated with the architect and builder on installation specifications, completing the work before the May opening, once the room's walls and floor surfaces were finished.

The design featured special gold-colored glass squares, creating a graphic pattern that unified all four panels. Aqua blue glass was selected to complement the pool equipment, while other neutral tones in the background were chosen to coordinate with the carpet, walls, and other interior finishes. Andrew Cary Young worked closely with the architects to ensure the glass colors harmonized with the overall interior design.

Hydro Room Wall Mounted Kiln Formed Glass
The installation was located above the console, immediately to the right of the four commercial storefront window frame openings, using a similar process as the kiln-formed glass at the Columbus facility. Coordination with the architect and builder ensured installation specifications were met, with the work completed before the May opening, once the room’s walls and floor surfaces were finished.

Leaded Art Glass
The installation was at the end of the hallway connecting the Aqua therapy room and rehabilitation facilities, using a traditional leaded stained glass technique. The glass was installed into aluminum window frames, with PRGS coordinating with the glazing subcontractor to provide shop drawings for the window frame size. This ensured enough time to create the glass to match the specifications before installation.

PRGS also installed matching aluminum molding to the existing frame to secure the leaded stained glass panels. The design extended the architectural space, drawing people in with clear textured glass in the background and special gold hand-blown antique glass.
