Some of the team members have 20 to 30 years of experience in the craft of stained glass. Many began as apprentices and developed their skills over the years through our intensive on-the-job training, workshops on and off site, and study at notable schools such as NYU, Pilchuck, and Penland.

Owner and Chief Designer
Since establishing Pearl River Glass in 1975, Andrew has always been one of the forerunners in stained glass innovation, pioneering such techniques as fused glass in leaded windows and using the time-honored technique of acid etching in new and modern ways. Andrew has served as the President of the Stained Glass Association of America. This extensive education in the field includes study with Ludwig Schaffrath, H. G. Von Stochausen, and the master iconographer Vladislav Andrejev. He also received a Degree in “Education for Ministry” from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, which makes him uniquely qualified to incorporate the subtle aspects of theology into the many church windows he creates. In 1987 he was awarded a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission to see the gothic cathedrals of Europe as well as tour many of Europe’s oldest and most renowned glass companies. In Waldsassen, Germany, he was also given a personal tour of the Lamberts Glass factory.

Account Manager
David joined Pearl River Glass Studio after nine years as Director of Marketing at BankPlus in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He brings with him 25 years of strategic planning, sales, marketing, advertising, and community relations experience.
David assists Andy Young with strategic planning and the marketing of PRGS. His primary responsibility is as liaison between our clients/prospects and PRGS assuring all communications are clear and concise.

Graphic Design Manager and Technical Specialist
Tom has been affiliated with Pearl River Glass for over 20 years. He is currently the “go-to” man for any issue of technical difficulty in design, creation or installation. He also executes the cartooning for windows in AutoCAD and designs much of our marketing materials. Tom was awarded an “Artist in Residence Fellowship” at The Creative Glass Center of America in Millville, NJ. Over the years his unique glass pieces have been featured in numerous gallery shows and museum events. Tom received his Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from Mississippi State and his Masters Degree in glass sculpture from Louisiana State University.

Restoration Specialist
Marsh joined Pearl River Glass Studio in 2002 after spending five years working for H. C. Porter in Serigraph Printmaking. Nabors is the studio’s most valuable asset when it comes to restoration. He has developed and honed his skills over the years with a passion that is unparalleled in the industry. He began by apprenticing at Pearl River and learning window repair techniques and the importance of historical conservation. Nabors continued his education by participating in several workshops and conferences that dealt with the subtle nuances of skillful repair and restoration. The most notable of these conferences were: the Drew Anderson Workshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY– sponsored by NYU’s Department of Conservation which oversees the entire stained glass collection at the Met; the Art Femenella Workshop at St. Mary School in Troy, NY; and the C.V.M.A. (Corpus Viterium Medi Ami) Conference in New York, NY. Recently, Nabors completed the intensive restoration of a large, 100 year-old window attributed to John Lafarge.

Glass Artwork Specialist
Robert has been a part of Pearl River’s team for over 15 years. He is responsible for the glass painting, fusing and acid etching that goes into our projects. Over the years, Rob has perfected his skills as a glass painter and art glass specialist through many dedicated hours and several continuing education workshops. In 2007, he participated in the highly respected Medieval Glass Painting Workshop at the Glencairn Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Cooper received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and has had his work featured in over 20 art exhibitions across the country from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico to Frederick, Maryland to Jackson and Vicksburg, Mississippi and has won several awards for his work.

Administration
Janice joined Pearl River Glass in 2009. Janice fills both the role of office manager and contract administrator. Her background includes twelve years as the Office Administrator for Core Curriculum and Liberal Arts at Millsaps College and five years as a librarian for the Jackson Metropolitan Library. Janice holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in both philosophy and psychology from Millsaps College and is a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Lay Reader in the Episcopal Church.

Production Assistant
Jackson native, and long time resident of the Midtown neighborhood, Walter is a graduate of Bailey Magnet High School and studied physical therapy at Hinds Community College.
Walter came to Pearl River Glass Studio in 2006 on the recommendation of M.C. Burke, then Director of the North Midtown Community Development Corporation.
Pearl River Glass Studio benefits from Walter’s work in several areas. In addition to the cementing and cleaning of stained glass windows Walter serves as technical assistant in the production of our popular hurricane platters. Recently he began assisting with window installations.
Pearl River Glass Studio supports Walter’s keen interest in developing his skills as an artist and a craftsman.
In his spare time Walter is an aspiring rap artist.

Installation Team
Bob has extensive experience with Pearl River Glass. He has installed everything from small residential stained glass windows to monumental projects involving 45 windows and 675 square feet of glass. His installations can be viewed throughout the state of Mississippi and across the country.
